Welcome to The Cozy Pea — a little yarn studio nestled in the heart of Denver, Colorado.

Our shop features Weekly Drops — small-batch, hand-dyed yarns inspired by the colors and moods of life in the Rocky Mountains. Each drop is unique and available in limited quantities, so once it’s gone, it’s gone!

From soft neutrals to earthy greens and blush tones, every skein is dyed with care in our Denver sunroom studio. Whether you’re starting your next heirloom project or treating yourself to something new, we hope you find something that feels a little bit cozy — and a lot like you.

After years in the fast-paced world of corporate America, I found myself missing the simple joy of creating something with my own two hands. I’ve been knitting since childhood — the rhythm of the needles and the texture of soft wool have always felt like home to me. When life started feeling more like spreadsheets than stitches, I knew it was time to come back to what truly fills me up.

The name The Cozy Pea came from my incredible, loving, and endlessly supportive boyfriend, who has called me “Pea” for as long as I can remember. It’s a name that carries warmth, comfort, and love — the very things I hope each skein of yarn brings to your hands and your home.

We moved from Boston to Denver for a slower pace and a little more sky. The Rocky Mountains, the golden fields, and the soft light of Colorado mornings have become my daily inspiration. Our sunroom — now transformed into a small dye studio — is where each skein is carefully hand-dyed in small batches using colors drawn straight from nature: mossy greens, sunrise pinks, soft earth tones, and cozy neutrals.
