Ginew
Contemporary Native Americana, Made to Last
Contact Info
Description
Ginew (pronounced Gih-noo) is the first Native American-owned denim collection, a family business founded by Dr. Amanda Bruegl – Oneida, Stockbridge-Munsee, and Dr. Erik Brodt – Ojibwe.
Each piece is meticulously designed and constructed, with family stories and tribal symbols sewn into every garment — an exploration of Indigenous identity expressed in a contemporary context, made to be shared with the world.
Ginew leans into longevity and durability, working with materials like selvedge denim, wax canvas, Pendleton-woven wool, and brass hardware — anything but fast fashion. Through their Ginew+ line, they collaborate with other Native American artists and designers, sharing profits with the community to reflect their values.
