Description

I'm Julia, the person behind this biz.
I was once a professor of French literature - a very serious academic -
but not anymore!

Now I make quilts and bags, and I publish original children's books to help make the world just a little bit better.

Living in my hometown of Seattle again, I've created this business — and I'm leading some pro bono literary activities in the city — to share the good feelings.

There are lots of ways to make a purchase:

1. In person: Come by my home studio in West Seattle! Just email for an appt. to juliawsea@gmail.com.

2. Online via our Etsy site.

3. NEW! I'm now offering custom work: $299 baby quilt (100% cotton), $599 twin-size quilt; $699 queen-size. If you're in Seattle, bring your own (any materials ok except sports uniforms) or come browse my stash.

4. HOLIDAY MARKET! We'll be at the Old Log Cabin Distillery Holiday Market Saturday, 11/29/25, 3-9 pm. The distillery is located near Queen Anne and downtown/waterfront at 1417 Elliott Ave W, Seattle, WA 98119.

5. In summer, the HGBG booth makes one appearance at an outdoor weekend-long art fair. This year, we were at the Alki Art Fair. See you next year!
