Metamorphic Gear was born from the wind and waves. Founder Lindsay Lawrence grew up surrounded by the sea — a lifelong sailor with salt in his veins and a passion for adventure. From the deck of a sailboat to remote coves across the world, Lindsay’s experiences on the water shaped his respect for durability, purpose, and design.

Having spent years traveling, sailing, and exploring, he saw firsthand the remarkable strength of sailcloth and marine materials — and the waste left behind when their first life was over.

Every piece of Metamorphic Gear begins with materials that have already lived bold lives — sails, climbing ropes, marine vinyl, and more. Before these high-performance materials end up as waste, they’re rescued, cleaned, and transformed into few-of-a-kind gear designed to stand up to wherever life takes you.
